A rug in rich shades of blue – navy, aqua blue and blue-grey. The mix of tones offer a depth to the colour and texture. The speckled effect aims to capture the quality of the brush-strokes on canvas in the original art work.

Inspired by the heart-shaped silphium seed pod which was abundant in the ancient Greek city of Cyrene, North Africa. The plant and its sap were highly valued in classical antiquity for their supposed medicinal properties. Now thought to be extinct, it may actually have inspired the present day symbol for love.
